Accessibility Statement
The legally binding version is the German version available at Barrierefreiheit
Barecatyra GmbH is committed to ensuring that our digital services are accessible to everyone, regardless of their physical or technical capabilities. This statement outlines the current state of accessibility on our website and our ongoing efforts to improve the user experience for all visitors.
- We align our development with WCAG 2.2 Level AA guidelines.
- The website is fully navigable via keyboard.
- We provide high visual contrast and screen reader support.
- We respond to accessibility feedback within 24 hours.
1. Status of Compliance
The Barecatyra website strives to meet the requirements of the European Accessibility Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at the AA level. We view accessibility as a continuous process of optimization rather than a one-time task.
Our current status is "largely compliant." All core functions—specifically the information regarding our Studio Rental and the booking request forms—are designed to be accessible to all users.
2. Implemented Measures
To ensure an inclusive experience, we have implemented the following technical standards:
- Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are reachable without a mouse. A skip-link is provided to allow users to jump directly to the main content.
- Visual Design: We use color contrasts that meet WCAG AA standards to enhance readability for users with visual impairments.
- Semantic Structure: The use of semantic HTML5 (such as
<main>,<nav>, and a strict heading hierarchy) helps screen readers navigate the site efficiently. - Alternative Text: All functional images include descriptive alt-text to convey the meaning of the visual content.
- Motion Control: We support the
prefers-reduced-motionCSS query to disable animations for users with vestibular disorders.
3. Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some limitations may exist. Because we utilize modern CSS layouts, users of very old browser versions may experience suboptimal rendering of the tables in our price list. We recommend using up-to-date browsers to ensure full accessibility.
All photographs used on the site are illustrative and serve to create an atmosphere; they do not contain essential information that is not also provided in text format.
4. Feedback and Contact
If you encounter any barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us directly. We review every report and aim to provide a solution in accordance with our business standards.

5. Enforcement Procedure
If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility report, you may contact the relevant supervisory authority. In Austria, for digital accessibility aspects related to data protection, this is the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde (DSB), Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Wien (www.dsb.gv.at).
For legal disputes, the place of jurisdiction is the court of Salzburg. This statement is applied in conjunction with our Privacy Policy and Terms.
